After meeting up with Henry in Montreal we made moves to Quebec City where we stayed with Pathfinder alumni, Thomas-Charles Fortier Filion and his wife Marie-Pierre. We had an excellent night catching up with Tom, drinking some beers and talking about the adventure ahead. Tom works for the government of Quebec charting the discharge of various major rivers and waterways. He pulled up water discharge of the George River at Indian House Lake and explained where the river levels were this July as compared to previous years (see diagram below). It was fascinating and really got us excited to think about the white water ahead.
